Hi! I'm Andrea.
Therapist, First Responder
Originally from New England, my happy place is the beach. I moved to Texas nearly two decades ago to embark on a career in law enforcement. On day one, we were told we would have a front row seat to the greatest show on earth, and they weren’t kidding. It has been an incredible, exciting, fulfilling, and humbling experience. What they didn’t tell us was the toll it would take on our minds, bodies, and spirits – or on our families.
Professionally, I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas, under the supervision of Kelley Akins, LPC-S. My passion for supporting those who serve and their families led me to become EMDR trained and to specialize in working with first responders navigating trauma, stress, burnout, and the challenges that come with a career in public safety. I am also currently pursuing certification in perinatal mental health to better support individuals and families during pregnancy and postpartum transitions.
I believe wellness is about more than managing symptoms—it's about creating a sustainable, fulfilling life both on and off the job. Drawing from both professional experience and clinical training, my approach is grounded, practical, and compassionate, with a focus on helping clients feel supported, understood, and equipped with tools for lasting wellness.
